Its been a while since my last update, I'm really sorry but I haven't had much time.. or maybe I just keep getting distracted by ebay.

Over the past month I've collected some new clothes and a lot of fabric (which you can see above) and at the moment I'm on the verge of drawing out a new pattern for a floral dress but I'm just trying to figure it out in my mind before I actually draw it out on baking parchment (who needs pattern paper its so expensive!) I managed to get all this fabric for a grand total of £4, the two floral cottons were free because they were throwing them away at work and I saved them. The light cream/ white floral fabric was £1 a meter, I stupidly only got 1 meter but ah well, it will make a nice blouse or skirt. The pink 80's looking fabric was actually £1.60 a meter as was the navy fabric with the white spots. I got two meters of each but the man at the store let me have them both for just £3, either he recognized me and gave me a discount or he can't add up, either way I think I got a bit of a bargain.

I'm not too sure what type of dress to make but I went on some vintage websites and I really like the collar on this dress, its alot like a vintage shirt I bought the other day from work. Also I like the and full length arms; I've decided don't like dresses which don't have long arms anymore, there very boring, unless the straps or shoulders have some kind of interesting detail.

picture from http://www.rokit.co.uk/product.php?product_id=WC101312 where you can also buy the dress too.

Also here is the picture of the shirt which I bought from Mary Stevens Hospice. I'm not too fond on the colour, but the picture makes it look bright orange which its not, its more of a murky dark gold colour. The collar is made of two peices of fabric which have little pleats, one peice buttons at the top of the shirt and the second piece buttons at the collar bone.

I bought the cardigan in this picture at the same time as the shirt and also at the same place, I find amazing stuff in that charity shop because its a vintage jaeger cardigan with lovely little gold buttons and it even has a small collar. My mom says its designer, I'm not sure if I class Jaeger as designer because I went on the website and they seem to have shops everywhere, my mom said its for grannys anyway, so its perfect for me.

A few weeks ago I got a D&G purse from work, I doubt its real, it has nothing on the inside to say its D&G but its still nice. Maybe next week I'll find a Chanel bag. Jenny my manager thinks I only work there so I can get a discount on the clothes.

Anyway I told my boyfriend I was going to do lots of sewing today and thats the reason why he can't come round until 4 so I guess I should go do some, otherwise he'll get here and be like 'i thought you were sewing?'

xx
