BUT THE FIRST TO CAST A STONE

The other day I ventured to the park to photograph this beautiful French Connection maxi dress. Normally I don't wear dresses, I like to wear separates but I loved the print on this dress. It reminded me of a lot of the items I've acquired recently, and now I think about it, it would have gone well with this handmade kimono from Hello Margaret that I wore in this post last month. The print and colours would have complimented each other really well, but not to worry! The pattern on the skirt is so pretty and I love how at the edge it changes to a little daisy print, it gives it the impression of a giant hem which usually, although not so much anymore, but when you learn to sew, a large hem generally means quality due to the excess fabric used. It also makes it more interesting than if it were to just have one print all over. I wanted to lounge around in the field all day! Once again snowie decided to be in my photo, look how happy she looks!! The only thing I would say though is I had to wear my highest 6 inch pair of platform heels with this outfit as the dress is so very long and I'm a mere 5ft 3, I think its definitely a special occasion dress! Or I could have walked around holding my skirt up as if I were the lady of the manor. I'm not entirely sure which manor it is that I'm referring to, but I wouldn't complain if I were to live in a manor. Do fancy dresses come with manors?

Moving on, I'm actually wearing jewellery!! Such a shock this is!- I always find I forget about jewellery, I'm not sure why, I think its because most things that I wear are quite out there so I always forget about the need for jewellery, but I figured as I'm only wearing a fancy dress, I should probably add a few more fancy items of jewellery to the look. Firstly, I popped on my Pandora Zodiac Bracelet. I went to the launch at the end of June and we all received one of these bracelets with our star sign charm! Normally I don't pay attention to things like fortune telling and all that jazz but somehow I always find anything relating to star signs usually has some sort of relevance, even if its just a coincidence. I'm a pisces and I always find I'm very like the description of pisces and whenever I read my horoscope, which is probably about once or twice a year when I actually remember or when I fall upon the horoscope page in a magazine, I usually find its correct or that I can relate to it. Also in terms of planets and space stuff, has anyone noticed everyone drives like an absolute maniac when its a full moon? I'm not sure if that has any relevance what so ever but Its so true!! Anyway! More about the Pandora bracelet- you can buy lots of cute little charms to go on the bracelet in addition to your star sign which I think is super cute, its like build your own bear for bracelets- and probably not for children *waits for angry adults who love spending time in build a bear to shake fists at me*. If you look on the website there are lots of different charms and they all mean different things so you can make your bracelet super personal! I think I would choose the red charm "Energy" as I always need more of that!! I am forever exhausted! I also love the Faith and Passion charms but I think that might just be the bright pretty colours! I'm not the sort of person to openly talk about things like faith and passion, unless they relate at all to Harry Potter. My favourite chain would have to be the silver ball chain bracelet, I do love anything shiny!!

I think the Story necklace that I'm wearing is actually a bracelet too. Oops, although I think that Story is so flexible and inter-changable that it doesn't matter! Its quite similar to the Pandora bracelet as you can add different charms and personalise it yourself, which is why I wore them both together because they both have a similar theme or use. Story have so many different 'starter' braclets (or in my case, necklaces haha!) I find myself lusting over the pink snakeskin starter bracelet, its so unusual! I also love the little charm I'm wearing in this outfit, black and gold is one of my favourite combinations! I'm actually browsing their website right now to refresh my memory as I've had this bracelet for quite a while and I'm noticing how creative you can be! Theres so many different elements you can put together. I actually really love the idea of the chain bracelets and all these adorable little droplets! I would fill my bracelet with as many droplets as possible!!!
