A few days ago I was approached by Nintendo about collaborating on a sponsored post for their newest game, New Style Boutique 2 – Fashion Forward, for the Nintendo 3DS which is launching today!! So I thought I’d have a little play and then tell you guys all about it!
The game begins by you creating your own character, you can select a style which represents you, there’s Boho Chic, Pretty and Gothic, I chose Pretty as it was the most pink option! You then meet a reddy-blonde haired girl who is extremely excited about everything ever and suddenly puts you in charge of her boutique! Eventually you can choose from five career paths, Boutique Manager, Hair Stylist, Make-up Artist, Designer and Model! I chose to create myself, in the actual game I have blonde hair, but with the option of becoming a hair stylist maybe I’ll be able to have pink hair on the game in the future? I’m not sure if thats possible though- I’ve not got that far yet! There is a girl with turquoise hair in the promotional video on Youtube which is v promising!! I’ve also dabbled in a bit of interior design, of course.
So far I have built up a wardrobe of four outfits, three of which you can see above that I have tried to re-create in real life, as well as the same hairstyle as my character! I actually had a lot of similar items in my real life wardrobe and I was actually really pleased I could accurately represent my style in the game, look at those shoes!! I’ve only unlocked about 50 items so far, there are over 19,000 in total!
The main aim of the game is to listen to your customers wants and needs, providing them with clothes/ hair/ makeup ect that they love, then they buy from the boutique and you get lots of money, its quite fun, who doesn’t love making money.
I feel that this is a game that a lot of my followers would enjoy, its the type of game I would get at Christmas and spend hours sat by the fire next to the Christmas tree playing in an attempt to become the queen of the fashion world! If you want to try it out you can download the demo for free on the Nintendo 3DS eShop (which is accessible via the handbag icon on the Nintendo 3DS menu, you must be connected to the internet) For more info visit the New Style Boutique FB page or website!
