Ok so I may have got pulled into the vortex that is Black Friday, actually it was a Sunday, but I guess that’s irrelevant.
There I was in bed at 11am, scrolling through various online stores in the hope of putting together a last minute Cyber Weekend post, (which never actually materialised, although I did tweet a few links) when I happened upon a few bags that rather took my fancy on Forzieri.
I had never purchased anything from Forzieri before so I was slightly wary, but after a quick google search and a browse around the website I decided that if I was going to buy anything this season, it would be from them. After all, they had a 20%-50% sale on, (I add that this sale is still happening, clearly it wasn’t just for Black Friday!). I ended up purchasing this amazing baby blue cross body Rockie bag from Alexander Wang! (Which unfortunately now seems to be out of stock, but its still available at Italist and there is a similar powder blue version on Nordstorm)

I have been in need of a new cross body bag for a good few months now! Everyday for the past year I’ve been using my favourite Irregular Choice lamb bag but unfortunately it’s now reached the end of its life and I’ve finally had to put it into retirement, (it was a very sad decision, but it does kinda have a hole in it). I really loved my lamb bag, it was a perfect size and the strap made it very comfortable to wear, plus it didn’t bounce annoyingly off my leg like some cross body bags. It looked deceptively small despite the fact I can pretty much fit my entire life inside of it. Irregular Choice regularly bring out different versions of the lamb bag but they’ve not brought out another pastel version yet, so I had to go in search of something else! Below are some of the other bags I also considered!

I’ve been searching for a replacement for months with no luck. Why is it that all medium sized bags are just that tiny bit too small? Never enough to fit my Vivienne Westwood Derby purse, DSLR camera, vlogging camera, headphones, sunglasses, normal glasses, water bottle and occasionally my makeup bag. When the Rockie bag first arrived I thought it looked too small but low and behold, I managed to fit everything in comfortably, so I took a deep breath and removed the returns label. Theres no going back now.

The Alexander Wang Rockie is now a key piece in my wardrobe, it goes with everything, considering that all my clothes are some kind of pastel colour, or black, white or grey. I’m so pleased I purchased it!
